Prep Program Overview

Fully Online!

California State University San Marcos Extended Learning offers a fully online SLP Preparation program to prepare students to apply for a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. View/download our SLP Prep Flyer.

The SLP Prep program is designed for individuals who did not major in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or Communicative Sciences and Disorders (CSD) and need the prerequisite courses for the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program at CSUSM.  

The SLP Preparation Program is an online full-time cohort program. New cohorts begin each fall, spring, and summer.  

Students who apply and complete all of the SLP Prep Cohort Program courses with an average GPA of B (3.0) or higher for 33 units completed and have earned at least a B- (2.7) in each of the courses will receive a University Speech-Language Pathology Preparation Certificate of Completion on their official transcript.
