Prep Program Overview

California State University San Marcos Extended Learning offers a fully online SLP Preparation program to prepare students to apply for a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. View/download our SLP Prep Flyer.
The SLP Prep program is designed for individuals who are missing all of the prerequisites for the Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program at CSUSM. Priority admission is given to those applicants who have not completed ANY of the prerequisites upon evaluation. We will accept applicants who have completed up to 3 equivalent prep courses elsewhere.
The SLP Preparation Program is an online full-time cohort program. In order to be eligible to participate in this program, students will be required to take a specific, sequence of courses continuously beginning in the Spring semester and ending in the Fall semester. For the Summer semester admissions, the program will end the following Spring semester. See the course sequences provided under Additional Information for more details.
Students who apply and complete all of the SLP Prep Cohort Program courses will receive a University Speech-Language Pathology Preparation Certificate on their academic record.
