SLP Prep Non-Cohort

Students who wish to enroll in SLP Prep courses via Open University may do so by following the CSUSM Open University Enrollment Process.

Please note, course offerings will vary each semester and there are limited seats in all courses. The courses on offer for the Spring 2026 term are:

      • SLP 150
      • SLP 251
      • SLP 391
      • SLP 450
      • SLP 452
      • SLP 482
      • SLP 364

Courses for the Summer 2026 semester will be added in late May 2026.

Additional Information

  • Each of these courses are 100% online and have weekly mandatory live chat sessions. Per the syllabus, students cannot miss more than one (1) live chat session in each course to remain eligible to pass the course. 
  • These courses are not eligible for the Cal Vet Fee Waiver, either as part of the certificate program or as stand-alone courses. 
  • Students registering for these courses will pay $380 per unit.
  • Students who are registering in an EL SLP Prep cohort section will pay $370 per unit.  Students registering in a stateside SLP course section will pay $350 per unit.
  • Please note, all students must reside in one of the following states: State Authorizations
