Pronouns
Pronouns are words that can take place of a noun (e.g. I, you, she, them) and they are used quite often in the English language. When speaking about a person, pronouns imply the persons gender - such as "he" to refer to a man. Making assumptions about which pronouns to use on a person are not always accurate.
Asking and using someone's correct pronouns is a way to create an inclusive learning environment where all students can be respected.
