We welcome you to the website of the Psychology Department at California State University, San Marcos. Psychology is the empirical investigation of behavior from a biological, cognitive, and/or psychosocial perspective. The department offers two undergraduate bachelor’s degree programs: a B.A. in Psychological Science and a B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development (CHAD). There is also an undergraduate minor in Psychological Science, and a graduate master’s degree program: an M.A. in Psychological Science.

The CSUSM Psychology Department invites applications for two Assistant Professor of Psychology (tenure-track) positions. One position requires expertise in Developmental Psychology with a research focus on adolescent development, the other position requires expertise in Social Psychology with a research focus on prejudice, stereotyping, and discrimination or on the effects of ethnic identity and acculturation/multiculturalism on behavior.
