The Center for Leadership Innovation and Mentorship Building (CLIMB) at California State University San Marcos has selected Holly Green, managing director and CEO of The Human Factor, Inc., as the Outstanding Business Leader for 2010. The annual award, which recognizes exceptional business leaders who demonstrate outstanding community leadership, economic innovation, and philanthropic involvement, was presented at the College of Business Administration Senior Experience Trade Show at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, on Thursday, Dec. 16.

"Holly Green has been a frequent and popular guest in our In the Executive's Chair course, speaker at a CLIMB Leadership Seminar, and a highly sought after mentor in the Center's Executive Mentoring Program," said Dr. Rajnandini Pillai, executive director of CLIMB and professor of management and organizational behavior at CSUSM. "She has truly transformed students' lives through her successful mentoring."

With more than 20 years of executive level and operations experience, Green has worked with Fortune 100, entrepreneurial, and management consulting organizations. As the former President of The Ken Blanchard Companies, a global consulting and training organization as well as LumMed, Inc. a biotech start up, she has a broad background in strategic planning, organization design and development, process improvement, leadership assessment and development, and the integration and alignment of business strategies. Green's prestigious line-up of clients including The Coca-Cola Company, AT&T, Dell Computer, Bass Hotels & Resorts, QUALCOMM, Expedia, Inc., RealNetworks, Inc., Microsoft and Google. Known in the business industry as someone who gets things done, Green has a proven track record of value-added delivery and is a highly acclaimed speaker and consultant. Annually, she conducts more than 50 workshops for Vistage, the worlds' largest CEO membership organization. She is also the author of More Than a Minute: How to Be an Effective Leader & Manager in Today's Changing World. In addition to her corporate experience, she also has extensive experience in political strategy at the local, state and Presidential levels.
