CLIMB Hosts "Shared Leadership" Seminar with Dr. Craig Pearce
The Center for Leadership Innovation and Mentorship Building at California State University
San Marcos is hosting a breakfast seminar on "Shared Leadership" with author and academic
Dr. Craig L. Pearce of Claremont Graduate University. The seminar is scheduled from
7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2005 at the M. Gordon Clarke Field House on
the Cal State campus. The event is free and open to the public. A continental breakfast
will be provided.
Dr. Pearce is co-editor of "Shared Leadership: Reframing the Hows and Whys of Leadership,"
published by Sage. He is the 2004 recipient of the Ascendant Scholar Award from the
Western Academy of Management and received an award from the Center for Creative Leadership
for his research on shared leadership. His research has appeared in Strategic Management
Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Occupational
and Organizational Psychology, Group Dynamics: Theory, Research, and Practice, and
Organizational Dynamics.
Dr. Pearce is an associate professor of management at the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi
Ito Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University. He received his
Ph.D. from the University of Maryland-College Park, his M.B.A. from the University
of Wisconsin-Madison and his B.S. (with honors) from Pennsylvania State University.
Dr. Pearce’s areas of expertise include leadership, teamwork and change management.
