On Tuesday, November 5, all California registered voters will get to vote in the General Election. This election will include the option to vote on the President, Federal State Senator, and depending on where you are registered, additional state and federal representatives. There are also 10 ballot propositions relating to money for public education, gay marriage, minimum wage, and rent control to name a few! All California registered voters will be mailed a ballot for the primary election starting October 7. October 21 is the last day to register to vote online. There are three ways to vote: by mail, in-person, or ballot drop-off at your local poll site. Confirm your poll location using the California State Secretary Poll Location tool. You can also vote on campus by dropping off your ballot or voting in person at McMahan House.

Fall 2024 Election Dates
2024 General Election
- Monday, October 7: Ballots mailed to registered voters.
- Tuesday, October 8: Ballot drop box locations open.
- Monday, October 21: Last day to register to vote online or by mail ahead of the General Election.
- Sunday October 26: Vote Centers (including McMahan House) open for early in-person voting in all Voter’s Choice Act counties (includes San Diego County).
- Tuesday, November 5: General Election - polls shall be open throughout the state from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
