Dear CSUSM community,

At CSUSM, the Office of Title IX and DHR (Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation) is committed to fostering a campus environment where every person feels welcomed, appreciated and supported. Please know that you are valued and you are not alone – our community is here to support you with compassion and care.

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, dating or domestic violence, or stalking, the university encourages reporting in whatever way feels safest for you. Reports can be made to the Office of Title IX/DHR by emailing nondiscrimination@csusm.edu, calling 760-750-6020 or submitting a report through our secure online form. Reaching out for support does not require participation in any formal process. Our role is to listen, offer options, and help you access the resources that are right for you.

We also want to extend care to survivors of past harm, whether or not the experience occurred on campus or has been previously disclosed. Healing is not linear, and it is always okay to seek support at any time. Confidential resources – including Student Health & Counseling Services, sexual violence advocates, and the Employee Assistance Program, as well as resources such as the Cougar Care Network – are available to provide a safe, private space to talk. We are inspired by the strength and resilience that members of our community show each day, and we remain committed to ensuring that CSUSM is a place of care and support for all.
