4-Year Roadmaps

The 4-Year Roadmaps show the recommended course sequence for each undergraduate major and reflect how the CSUSM Degree Planner is currently programmed. All roadmaps are available in the Roadmap Workbook linked below.

How to Use the Roadmap Workbook

To view a specific roadmap, open the workbook and select the College and Major. Then select the appropriate Catalog Year. The workbook is protected so users can edit only the College and Major fields. Use the filters and selection options to display the desired roadmap.

Selections made directly in the online workbook may be saved and visible to subsequent users. To make changes for your own use without affecting the shared workbook, download the editable copy described below.

Download an Editable Copy

  • To edit the roadmap workbook beyond the College and Major fields, download an Editable Copy of the Roadmap Workbook. Save the file to your computer and open it in the desktop version of Excel.
  • This downloadable workbook is a separate, unprotected copy. Changes made to your downloaded copy will not affect the online Roadmap Workbook.
  • This workbook contains macros. Macros may not run in Excel for the web. If you need to use macro-enabled features, open the downloaded .xlsm file in desktop Excel.

Current Students

The roadmaps are general planning guides and are not personalized for individual students. Current CSUSM students should use the Degree Planner in myCSUSM for personalized course recommendations and consult with Academic Advising when developing or updating their graduation plans.

Roadmap Workbook Updates

The Roadmap Workbook is updated once each semester. Changes submitted after the workbook is published may not appear until the workbook is updated the following semester.

Faculty and Academic Departments: Requesting Changes

  • To request a change to the recommended order of courses or the terms in which courses are typically offered, submit an Academic Degree Planner (ADP) Form through Curriculog. Review the instructions for requesting a Degree Planner change.
  • Faculty and academic departments may use the downloadable editable copy above to review or customize a roadmap for their own planning purposes.
  • Changes made to an editable copy will not update the official Roadmap Workbook or the Degree Planner. To request an official change, submit an ADP Form through Curriculog.
