A little about me...
I was born and raised in California and have lived up and down the entire state! Now, I happily call North SD County home with my husband and our little sausage dog. I enjoy staying active, practicing holistic self-care, caring for my houseplants, baking bread, and curling up with a good book or a silly show. I also really enjoy going to Padres Games!
Education Background
- Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition, University of California, Davis
- Master of Science in Counseling and College Student Personnel, California Lutheran University
Advice for First-Year Students
Welcome to CSUSM! Remember that you belong here and already have what it takes to succeed!
Also, starting college can feel overwhelming, and it’s completely normal to feel lost or uncertain at times. If you're facing a challenge, remember that you don’t have to navigate it alone. There are many students, staff, and faculty who care about your well-being and success and want to help. There are also many free campus resources and ways to get involved that are available to you!
One of the most important skills you can develop is having the courage to ask for help when you need it. Reaching out is a sign of strength. You’ve got this!
Fun Fact
I have a little sausage dog named Kali (Poochis), and I had so much fun teaching her how to high-five with both paws!
