What is the criteria when reviewing applications?

Applications are reviewed by the CoBA Dean and may include consultation with faculty department chairs. Approval will be based on the nature of the activity and the value it will provide to the student's professional development. SSGs are intended to cover a portion, not all, of the student’s legitimate professional development expenses. Legitimate expenses include, but are not limited to, event registration fees, flights, transportation, and lodging. Food is not considered a legitimate expense.

How are SSGs funded?

Funding for the SSGs is raised through CoBA's Taste for Student Success fundraiser. This event is an annual wine, beer, and food festival held at CSUSM.
