myCSUSMPost a For-Credit Internship
1. Develop a Quality Internship
Create a job description and internship objectives. All unpaid or stipend paid internships must comply with U.S. Department of Labor guidelines.
Review our Develop a Quality For-Credit Internship Guide
For a one-time W-2 paid placement, the student may complete the W-2 Paid Internship Confirmation Form instead of the Partnership Application. This process is student-initiated and sent to you for verification. Please have the student connect with our office to begin.
If you plan to recruit interns for this opportunity in the future, complete the Partnership Application instead.
2. Submit Your Internship
Provide information about your organization and the internship opportunity. The Career Center will review your submission and follow up with any questions or next steps.
After your application is reviewed and approved, a University Community Partnership
Agreement* will be sent via Adobe Sign to the designated legal signer.
This agreement establishes guidelines for a safe and positive learning environment,
helps minimize risk and liability for all parties, and activates university liability
insurance coverage for the student.

3. Collect Applications and Select a Student
Approved opportunities are posted in our Academic Internship Database. Students apply directly to your organization. Once you extend an offer and the student accepts, the student reports their internship placement to our office.
