GET VACCINATED!
The best way to protect yourself from H1N1 and the Seasonal Flu is to get vaccinated. You will need two separate vaccinations but they may be administrated at the same time if your healthcare provided determines it is appropriate based on your situation.
CSUSM Student Health and Counseling Services has run out of seasonal flu shots. H1N1 flu shots will be available in the next few weeks.
Where can I get the Seasonal Flu shot?
- First contact your regular healthcare provider, or
- Discounted Seasonal Flu Vaccines for the Cal State San Marcos community is available
through the university's Occupational Medical provider. Limited supplies are available. Conveniently
located in the same building that Student Health and Counseling Services. On the
corner of Twin Oaks Valley Rd and Craven Rd.

Walk in and pay for service at $20.00 per dose. No appointment needed. Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:15 PM.
Receive your vaccination from medical professionals in a clinical environment. - Go to many popular local drug stores such as CVS, Wallgreens, Ralphs, etc.
Where can I get the H1N1 vaccine?
H1N1 Flu Vaccine Clinics
CSUSM Health Services has received a limited shipment of H1N1 Flu Vaccine. We will be distributing the vaccine at various locations on campus. At the present time, the vaccine will be available to students, faculty, and staff members who are members of the following CDC target groups:
- Pregnant women
- People who live with or provide care for infants younger than 6 months of age
- Health care and Emergency Medical Services personnel
- People up to age 24 years of age
- People aged 25-64 years of age who have certain medical conditions that place them at high risk for influenza-related complications
Students, faculty, and staff members will be REQUIRED to show a current campus ID card in order to receive the vaccine. There is no charge to receive the vaccine.
