Pay for Orientation

Orientation is a fee-based program, meaning that without the fee we could not offer this service to our new students and families. When students create an Orientation reservation in MyCSUSM, the student's account will automatically be charged with an Orientation fee. Students must pay the Orientation fee in full by the first payment deadline along with tuition and other CSUSM fees. Please do not make this payment prior to reserving an Orientation date.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

If you would like to cancel your Orientation reservation, you must contact the New Student & Family Programs office at least one week (5 business days) prior to your scheduled Orientation date in order to receive a refund. Please note that fees cannot be refunded after you have already attended an Orientation session, despite any changes in your admissions status or choosing not to attend the university. If you no longer plan on attending CSUSM, please contact BOTH Admissions at and Orientation at as soon as possible.

What does my fee cover? 
Your Orientation fee covers the logistical costs associated with the programs and services of New Student Onboarding, Orientation, Weeks of Welcome, Family Programs, Orientation Team, and Transfer Success Initiatives.
