Applied Physics makes a connection between fundamental research in physics and its
application to real world problem-solving. Our faculty is committed to:
- engaging students using high quality instruction in a cross-cultural competent learning
- engaging in research in physics and related fields with the involvement of our students
- working with regional K-12 teachers in Southern California to improve science education
at the pre-college level
- making physics interesting and fun
Physicists and engineers come from different backgrounds, and we all contribute to
the advancement of human understanding. We welcome working with students and colleagues
from diverse social backgrounds, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
There is great value in diverse teams of people sharing their unique approaches to
solve problems to the benefit of scientific and engineering endeavors.
Congratulations 2018 Graduates!
