Youssef is a Cellular and Molecular Biology major at CSUSM. Before coming to CSUSM, he studied medicine at Tanta University in Egypt and gained clinical experience at Tanta University Hospitals, where he observed patient care in the emergency department. Passionate about medicine and serving others, Youssef hopes to pursue a career as a physician. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, table tennis, and volleyball, as well as spending time with family and friends.

I am a senior in the biological sciences major. I am working toward earning a doctoral degree and, one day, running my own lab focused on molecular/cell evolutionary biology. I enjoy thinking about new research questions to design experiments for and reading scientific literature. I also keep fish and shrimp and find peace and tranquility in aquascaping.

I want to go to grad school for clinical psychology, and am interested in teaching at the college level one day. I enjoy reading, hiking, yoga, and hanging out with my cats.

Kristin is a fourth-year student at CSUSM, majoring in Psychological Science with a minor in Criminology & Justice Studies. She is a student-athlete on the CSUSM Track & Field team. She is actively involved in psychological research in Dr. Rosas' lab, with interests in clinical psychology, mental health, and the relationship between psychology, neuroscience, and the legal system. After completing her undergraduate degree, Kristin plans to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Outside of academics and athletics, Kristin enjoys painting, going to the beach, and thrifting.

Sage is a fourth-year psychological science major with a triple minor in biology, chemistry, and cognitive science at CSUSM. She is currently a research assistant in Dr. Sherafat's neurobiology of addiction lab, which focuses on investigating the effects of nicotine in mice. She is a URISE scholar and is hoping to get her PhD in neuroscience in the future. She enjoys reading, dancing, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog, Sadie.

Hi! My name is Cassie, and I’m a second-year graduate student in the Speech-Language Pathology program. I completed my undergraduate degree at CSUSM in 2025. When I’m not busy with school, I love doing puzzles and spending time with my two little Affenpinschers, Magda and Luna. If I’m not at home watching Grey’s Anatomy, you can usually find me at the zoo getting to know the animals or at Disney getting on rides and eating popcorn!
