Kristin Moss is an Associate Professor of Visual Arts/Visual Cultures at CSUSM who studies art, cultural identity, and social change. She holds a BA in Art/Art History from Kalamazoo College, MA in International & Intercultural Communication, and Ph.D. in Intercultural Communication from the University of Denver. Her interdisciplinary scholarship integrates theories from intercultural communication, visual culture and media studies, critical/cultural studies, and art history. Dr. Moss has published research on intercultural dialogue and mural art in national journals, and served as Curator/Director of CSUSM’s Off Campus Gallery. Kristin’s teaching emphasizes theory and experiential methods in courses including visual culture studies, art & social change, public expression in the arts, and contemporary and women artists.
