I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. My family and I moved to Southern California where I became a student at CSUSM and received my bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. I fell in love with CSUSM, the students, and the sense of community when I was on campus which led me to apply for a position at SHCS where I have now been employed for 3 years. I have lived in San Marcos now for almost 15 years with my wonderful parents, beautiful sister, and 3 incredible fur babies.

Landscape photography became a hobby of mine shortly after moving to Southern California because I wanted to be able to remember the places I have gone, and the people I share those memories with. It amazes me to see how different a scenery can appear depending on the angle or color of the photo. Usually, I am inclined to transform pictures into black/white because it allows people to create their own perspective and feelings towards the photo.

I have always been too nervous or scared to share my photos with anyone. This is my first time revealing some of my photos, and I am hoping people can relate to my photos and enjoy those I have shared.

"Snowin' in the Pines"
Art Medium: Black & White Photograph

A snowy day in Apple Hill located in Placerville, CA. The snow began to fall as we arrived at this location and the pines began turning white before our eyes. This was taken the day after Christmas and the beautiful scenery inspired me to capture this photo.

"Blended Horizon"
Art Medium: Black & White Photograph

This photo was taken from the Oceanside Pier in Oceanside, CA. This was shortly before sunset, and the horizon blended perfectly with the ocean that it was hard to determine where the ocean ended, and where the sky began. It was the perfect day with great weather to enjoy a peaceful walk on the beach.

"A Loyal Friend"
Art Medium: Black & White Photograph

While eating lunch, a friendly bird came and sat next to me as I ate. I would move closer to it or move away to see if it would startle but it only seemed to follow me more. It sat next to me the entire time without leaving my side. I decided to take this photo to remember a loyal friend and the beautiful moment.
