In this campus climate program, a yearly cohort of campus members complete a nine-month program designed to give participants a broad perspective of CSUSM and to create bridges between colleagues across divisions. Applications are accepted in March every year, with the program running August – May.
Plug into the Alumni Association (currently 2,100 members strong) to foster lifelong Cougar pride, connect with other alumni, and attend Community Virtual Events.
Within the Alumni Association, explore the Affinity Groups available to alumni, like COBA alumni, Latino, or MBA alumni.
Hosted by the Office of Inclusive Excellence, Faculty Staff Associations (FSA) are volunteer-run organizations that offer opportunities for community and collaboration among colleagues. Five FSAs are currently recognized, including: Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Faculty Staff Association (APIDA FSA), Black Faculty Staff Association (BFSA), Jewish Faculty Staff Association (JFSA), Latino Association of Faculty & Staff (LAFS), LGBTQA Faculty Staff Association (LGBTQA FSA).
The SAND Committee is volunteer-based, and its members assist with the planning, hosting, and marketing of SAND events and opportunities. SAND is a group of likeminded individuals with a commitment to Campus Climate and making CSUSM a place where people love to come to work.
Microsoft Teams-based affinity groups are open to all members of campus and provide a space to socialize with colleagues. Groups include Pet Lovers, Bookworms, Travelers, Gardeners, and more.
