Academic English Support

If you're interested in working with Amanda, the Academic English Language Specialist, you can make an appointment with her from 4pm-6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays or 12pm-2pm on Wednesdays.  She is usually available for walk-in appointments from 12pm-5pm on Mondays and 10am-12pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Amanda by email at

Did you know? We take walk-ins. The schedule may reflect that we are booked, but we always keep a few tutors reserved to see our walk-ins. Feel free to drop by. We can't wait to see what you are working on!

Have questions about your writing? Want to talk to someone about an assignment? Want assistance brainstorming, planning, drafting or revising your work? Please make an appointment by using our online system, calling our front desk, or visiting us in KEL 1103. We look forward to working with you!

Our Services

  • 30-minute one-on-one tutoring sessions, available by walk-in or by appointment
  • Bring-a-buddy sessions (60 mins: you, a friend, and a tutor)
    • For GEW students, limited to 2 people and must be an hour long.
    • When reserving an buddy session, you must manually select an hour
