Comprising esteemed professionals, community leaders, and alumni, the Council provides valuable insights and guidance that help bridge the gap between academia and the professional world.
Our Mission
The mission of the CEHHS Advisory Network is to enhance the quality and impact of the college and to:
- Strengthen Community Relationships: Foster collaborative partnerships with alumni and community partners to support and enrich student experiences and outcomes.
- Formalize Feedback Channels: Establish regular and structured feedback from community and employer partners, and ensure this feedback is shared across CEHHS units for continuous improvement.
- Facilitate Interprofessional Dialogue: Create opportunities for community advisors to exchange insights and explore interprofessional collaboration.
- Support Strategic Goals: Align with CEHHS's strategic goal of proactive community support and engagement, addressing complex social issues and workforce needs.
Advisory Network members work closely with the units within CEHHS to:
- Provide confidential and constructive feedback on program quality and reputation.
- Act as advocate for their respective units and the college within the community.
- Advance unit-level and CEHHS-wide Advisory Network strategic priorities.
- Participate in CSUSM and unit- and college-level events and activities that support CEHHS faculty and students.
