Reserving Space at the Innovation Hub

John Quick Pitch Spr23
Hub Exterior

The Innovation Hub hosts events that bring together the CSUSM community with Industry. It is CSUSM's nexus to the regional community and in that capacity has the capability to host large community events as well as casual meetings. Many of the services the Innovation Hub offers are available at no or low-cost to students and faculty/staff.

Please note:  Only events directly related to innovation or entrepreneurship will be approved as space permits.

  • Great for: Community/Industry Collaborations, Professional Symposiums, and events connecting CSUSM to the regional community

The Innovation Hub is a unique space and has a few unique requirements:

    • All presentations should be provided on a flash drive for use on the large screen.  No outside laptop/devices are allowed to be plugged directly into the large screen.
    • Please bring/order to-go boxes if having food at your event.  The Hub is not situated in a location that is easy for students to access leftover food.  Boxes can be ordered from Sodexo (when placing your catering order) for $1 each.
    • Please note that the end time you have designated for your event is when all attendees must vacate the Hub to allow for cleanup. If you anticipate any mingling, networking, or additional activities at the end of your event, please include that time in your reservation request.

Complete an Event Request Form

Because in most cases the Innovation Hub staff plan, coordinate, and execute events in the space without coordination from Event and Conference Services, a request form is necessary.

You will receive an email confirming your event request within 3-5 business days.

Once your event is confirmed, Innovation Hub staff will reach out to coordinate event logistics and to schedule a meeting if necessary.

Reserve a collaboration table

The Innovation Hub has two multi-media tables, each equipped with a full computer compliment, which are referred to as Collaboration Tables A and B. While the tables are available on a first-come first-serve basis, they can also be reserved for up to two hours in 30-minute increments. They are great for hosting small meetings such as office hours, student organization meetings, and other innovative uses. Please note, these tables are not for virtual meetings (Zoom, Teams, Google Meets) due to the nature of the open space.

Collaboration tables come equipped with:
      • One CSUSM campus computer equipped to a 32' LED screen and wireless peripherals
      • Access to whiteboards and markers
Reserve a table by emailing innovation@csusm.edu
