- What's your favorite book to read for fun?
Anything from Jane Austen - What's your favorite book to teach?
I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai - Do you have a favorite film?
The Princess Bride, Singin’ in the Rain, and Back to the Future - How do you spend your free time?
When I have free time, I’m usually with my family and helping take care of my niece and nephews – I make a pretty epic Hot Wheels track. I also go to the beach and Disneyland. And binge watch The Office. - What is your biggest literary inspiration?
Ever since I took a class on Jane Austen in college, I’ve been inspired by her writing and her characters. I also find inspiration in any piece that makes me care about the characters, ranging from the classics to popular pieces!
- What's your cure for writer's block?
Usually, I will try going for a run outside, or working on a different project to refresh my mind. In most cases, binge watching The Office works just as well.
- What are you working on outside of class?
My research interests include moral development in children’s literature, as well as adaptation and film studies. As far as creative projects, I’m excited about a piece of historical fiction, and a science fiction series! - Fun Fact:
