Graduate Student Deadlines

Important Deadlines for Fall 2023:

Date Deadline
September 1, 2023 (Week 1) Students in their 3rd semester should submit a draft of their Thesis Proposal to the Thesis Director for review and revision.
September 11, 2023 (Week 3)

Last day of Add/Drop Period (i.e., last day to submit Independent Study forms to the Registrar.) 

Last day to submit Course Substitution forms (for 400-level courses) to Graduate Coordinator.

Last day to file for Leave of Absence from M.A. Program.
September 29, 2023 (Week 5) Students in their 3rd semester must submit Final Draft of their Thesis Proposal to the Thesis Committee for review. 
October 13, 2023 (Week 7) Students in their 3rd semester must submit the Thesis Committee Membership Form and their approved Thesis Proposal to the Graduate Coordinator and the members of the thesis committee. 
November 1, 2023 (Week 10) Last day to apply for Graduation for Fall 2023.
November 14, 2023 (Week 12) Students defending theses should review thesis formatting and online submission procedures. See the Library E-Thesis Submission Guide for more information. Contact Carmen Mitchell with questions. 
November 22, 2023 (Week 13) Last day for Thesis Defense
December 7, 2023 at 12:00pm (Week 15)

Last day to submit Thesis to Library
