TRIO Pre-College Programs

The Federal TRIO Pre-College Programs (TRIO) are Federal outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.  TRIO includes programs targeted to serve and assist low-income individuals, first-generation college students, and individuals with disabilities to progress through the academic pipeline to postbaccalaureate programs.

CSUSM TRIO Pre-College programs serves students at our four (4) target high schools in North San Diego County.  Our programs provide college planning and preparation tools to transition participants from high school to college, with the ultimate goal of completing a postsecondary education.  All program services are FREE to our program participants.
