Students
Paid parking sessions are required at all times while parked on campus.
Parking enforcement hours: 7 days a week/24 hours a day.
No physical permits will be issued. License Plate number entered when purchasing your Parking Session will become your Virtual Permit.
- Spring 2026 permits will expire 5/29/2026.
- Summer 2026 permits are available for purchase starting 5/19/2026.
Student (General) parking is available in any general parking lot (B, C, F, J, K, L, N, Parking Structure 1 and Parking Structure 2) with a paid parking session. There is no student (general) parking in the faculty/staff parking lots (Lot E and H) or in the faculty/staff reserved spaces.
No overnight parking (12:00 am - 4:59 am) allowed in Lot L, 6th Level of PS1, Lot X, Y, & Z, or designated event areas in Lot B and Lot F. No parking is allowed in Parking Structure 2 levels 1 through 5 from 2:00 am - 5:00 am daily.
Permits
Semester/Academic permits may be purchased with Cash or Check at Parking and Commuter Services (PSB 63) or purchase parking permit online using Debit or Credit card (Visa or Mastercard).

Semester permits are prorated on a weekly basis. Refund Form can be completed online.

Hourly and Daily virtual permits may be purchased:
- Pay stations: located in Lot B, C, F and N
- AMP Park App: Download AMP Park app or access via CSUSM app, select Parking/Transit, then select Purchase a Day Pass.
- Online Parking Account: Log in with CSUSM credentials
- No refunds or exchanges on daily/hourly parking permits.

No physical permit will be issued. License plate information is required. Enter in your temporary plate information until the permanent license plate arrives; update vehicle information to reflect permanent license plate once they have been installed on vehicle. Last 4 of VIN is required for vehicles with no plates.
