Students

Paid parking sessions are required at all times while parked on campus.
Parking enforcement hours: 7 days a week/24 hours a day.

No physical permits will be issued. License Plate number entered when purchasing your Parking Session will become your Virtual Permit.

Student (General) parking is available in any general parking lot (B, C, F, J, K, L, N, O, Parking Structure 1 and Parking Structure 2) with a paid parking session. There is no student (general) parking in the faculty/staff parking lots (Lot E and H) or in the faculty/staff reserved spaces.

No overnight parking (12:00 am - 4:59 am) allowed in Lot L, 6th Level of PS1, Lot X, Y, & Z, or designated event areas in Lot B and Lot F.  Parking Structure 2 is CLOSED (no parking) from 2:00 am - 5:00 am daily.

**New for FALL 2021**  Effective Fall, 2021, new discounted parking permit options will be available in Lots X, Y, and Z.  In addition to the already established Discounted Semester permit ($254), a Discounted Monthly XYZ permit ($60), Discounted Daily XYZ ($5), and Discounted Hourly XYZ permit ($3 - valid for 3 hours from time of purchase will be available as of August 24, 2021.    Lots X, Y, and Z will be closed daily between 12:00 am - 4:59 am; no overnight parking is allowed.

Semester/Academic permits may be purchased with Cash or Check at Parking and Commuter Services (PSB 63) or  purchase parking permit online using Debit or Credit card.

*Lots XYZ will be closed daily between 12:00 am - 4:59 am; no over parking allowed.   In order to accommodate the Kellogg Library 24/5 schedule, registered vehicles with a valid virtual XYZ per may park Sunday - Thursday, between 8:30 pm - 5:59 am in Lot C only.  Vehicles with a valid virtual XYZ permits parked in in Lot C for 24/5 access must be removed from lot C daily (Monday morning - Friday morning) by 6:00 am. ***Not applicable while Kellogg Library 24/5 schedule is not operating***

Semester permits are prorated on a weekly basis. Refund Form can be emailed to parking@csusm.edu; form must be submitted from your cougars.csusm.edu email.

No physical permit will be issued. License plate information is required.   Enter in your temporary plate information until the permanent license plate arrives; update vehicle information to reflect permanent license plate once they have been installed on vehicle.  Last 4 of VIN is required for vehicles with no plates.
