SNEC- University Cabinet Election

Elected: Mike Geck

Term of Appointment: One-year
Positions available: 1

The University Cabinet is charged by President Neufeldt to convene monthly during the academic year to offer recommendations and diverse perspectives on campus matters, while also serving as a sounding board to the President and the President’s Administrative Team (PAT) for ideas and new initiatives. The University Cabinet may also be called for special meetings to address time-sensitive campus matters. In addition to the regular membership, other faculty and employee experts may be invited to attend meetings based on the need for additional expertise and perspectives.

The election process and timeline is as follows: 

  • Aug. 15 – Nomination period begins
  • Aug. 22 @ noon– Nomination period closes
  • Aug. 23 – Election begins
  • Aug. 30 @noon – Election closes
  • Aug. 31 – Appointment Announced
  • Sept. 14 -  University Cabinet Meeting
