Accreditation

The baccalaureate degree in nursing and master's degree in nursing at California State University San Marcos is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

CSUSM is regionally accredited by Western Association of Schools & Colleges and the School of Nursing's baccalauerate degree program (Traditional BSN and Accelerated BSN) is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

Joint Statement

The California State University San Marcos and Academic Partnerships have amicably agreed to end their collaboration with respect to extended learning online nursing and education programs offered at CSU San Marcos.  CSU San Marcos will continue to offer online program courses through December 2018, and intends to offer other online nursing and education programs thereafter.  The discontinuation of the current online programs does not impact the validity of degrees conferred to students who have completed or will complete those programs.  CSU San Marcos is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission.  Students who complete the online BS Nursing and RN to BSN program hold degrees that are approvedby the Board of Registered Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.  Students who complete the online MA in Education, Educational Administration Option, and MA Education, General Option, Focus in Literacy, hold degrees that are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.  Currently enrolled students who have questions or concerns regarding CSU San Marcos’s online programs should direct them to rn-bs@csusm.edu  (nursing) and maedonline@csusm.edu (education).  All other questions and concerns should be directed to 760-750-4010.
