Program Features

CSUSM Theatre provides a well-rounded and inclusive education in a vibrant and supportive learning environment.

We promote original student research practices, involve students in innovative performance training, support students in creative leadership roles, and offer rigorous theory and dramatic literature courses. Our faculty are dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and creative activity. They are actively engaged in both local and national theatre communities. Students in our program are able to interact with some of San Diego’s leading professional theatres through internships, guest artist events, and juried panels.

 We are delighted to announce that a B.A. in Theatre has recently been approved by CSU Chancellor Timothy P. White and will launch in the fall of 2019.
