The Trustees of the California State University (CSU) recognize the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW), AFL-CIO and its Local Union as the sole and exclusive representative of the bargaining unit (Unit 11) in accordance with the certification by the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) in petition number LA-RR-1099-H.

Summary of Bargaining Unit Positions
During the 2022-2023 academic year
Instructional Student Assistants were employed in the following departments: Academic Success Center, Accounting, Bio-Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Communications, Computer Science, Dean’s Office, Economics, Ethnic Studies, First-Year Programs, Liberal Studies, Mathematics, Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Physics, School of Nursing, Sociology, Speech-Language Pathology, STEM Success Center, Supplemental Instruction, and Writing Center departments.
Graduate Assistants were employed in the following departments: Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Finance, History, Literature and Writing Studies, Management, Marketing, Mathematics, Psychology, Psychology-CHAD, Public Health, School of Education, Social Work, Sociology, and Speech Language Pathology departments.
Teaching Associates were employed in the following departments: Biological Sciences, Computer Science, Early Start Mathematics, History, Literature and Writing Studies, Mathematics, Modern Language Studies and Psychology departments.
