Lecturer Faculty Resources

Lecturer faculty have a long history at CSUSM, providing instruction to thousands of students. Instructional Development Services provides assistance with academic technology, including the course management system, Cougar Courses.

There are a number of resources to help us connect with and contribute to the academic community: The CSUSM Lecturer Team is an electronic space for lecturers to communicate with one another. If you are a CSUSM lecturer and are unable to access the Team, please contact the Lecturer Faculty Fellow.

This Lecturer Team houses a multitude of resources for you:

  • Virtual events specifically for lecturers
  • Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) updates
  • Announcements, files, recordings,
  • Current lecturer representative contacts
  • Ways to connect, ask questions, chit chat, have fun and network with lecturers across campus.

We highly encourage you to join the team!

NOTIFICATIONS ARE IMPORTANT! If you are not a regular Microsoft Teams user, turn on notifications to receive e-mail updates, so you never miss a thing.

Employment information, such as policies and procedures related to evaluation, are posted on the Faculty Affairs website. You are represented by the California Faculty Association, a union of 29,000 professors, lecturers, librarians, counselors and coaches who teach in the California State University system. In classrooms on the 23 CSU campuses, CFA members work hard to teach our students. To join, as an active member with rights to vote and engage fully on behalf of yourself and others, go to the California Faculty site.

We hope you make use of the information available on this website. Please send any questions, comments, ideas to the Lecturer Faculty Fellow/Liaison, Rachel Nortz, rnortz@csusm.edu
