Move-In Preparation

Fall 2024 Move-in

Move in for the fall semester will take place during the week prior to classes. A detailed email with instruction will be sent to all residents in advance. The overall schedule is as follows:

• Monday 8/19/24 - Wednesday 8/21/24 -  Early-move-in based on approved requests
• Thursday 8/22/24 - Friday 8/23/24 - Move in for The Quad and University Village Apartments (by appointment time)
• Friday 8/23/24 - Move in for North Commons (by appointment time)

What to Bring!

We have a complete list of what to bring for our students and their new room. 

CSUSM Corporation has partnered with USS (University and Student Services) to offer CSUSM students more options for their rooms, such as linens, care packages, and more! Visit USS Services for more information.

Immunization for Resident Students

Meningococcal Conjugate (MenACWY) immunization administered within the last four years is highly recommended for all first-time CSUSM residential students (living in university or affiliated housing) who are 21 years or younger.  

Meal Plan

All North Commons residents are required to purchase a meal plan before moving into their suite. Residents at the Quad and UVA are able to purchase an optional meal plan. Purchasing a meal plan can be found on the dining services website! https://www.csusm.edu/dining/mealplans/index.html 

Parking Permit

All students who are parking at CSUSM will need to purchase a parking permit. Parking and Commuter Services has multiple parking permit options for our parking options around CSUSM! Please visit https://www.csusm.edu/parking/students.html for more information!

Visiting the Campus

CSUSM has tours for future students, High/ Middle School Groups, and Cub Tours (K-8)!
