GUIDELINES
This year (2025-2026), a deserving member of the faculty will be recognized for their
significant achievements in advancing the University’s goals in the areas of diversity,
inclusive excellence, educational equity, and social justice. To nominate a current faculty member for this award, please review the guidelines
for eligibility requirements and the nomination process.
All nominations must include:

- SEP 02: Call for nominations
- OCT 06: Deadline for nominations
- OCT 27: Dossiers due
- NOV 21: Award Selection Committee recommendation due to the President
- DEC 12: Campus announcement
- JAN 15, 2026: CSUSM Awards & Service Celebration

- Where can I find information on requirements for the dossier?Dossier requirements can be found in the guidelines.(Only applicable in years when faculty are eligible for the award.)
- When are dossiers due?All dossiers should be submitted electronically to presidentialawards@csusm.edu and are due by October 27, 2025.(Only applicable in years when faculty are eligible for the award.)
- Can I include items other than Word and PDF documents in my dossier?Yes, but please remember that all dossiers must be delivered electronically to presidentialawards@csusm.edu, and the committee has a limited time to review documents.
- Who makes the final decision for each award?The President makes the final decision after reviewing the recommendations made by the selection committees.
- When will the announcement be made regarding the selected recipient?The awards will be announced before the winter break in December.
