Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society, is the world’s largest multidisciplinary research honor society. The Society is an international community of scientists and engineers dedicated to research excellence, promoting public engagement with science, and cultivating the next generations of researchers. Our mission is to enhance the health of the research enterprise.
The California State University San Marcos chapter of Sigma Xi was installed on March 25, 2025. The goal of the founding members is to provide undergraduate and graduate researchers at CSUSM with opportunities for professional development, networking, and access to resources such as Grants in Aid of Research.
