Senate and Executive Committee Meetings

All members of the CSUSM faculty are encouraged to participate. Only current, elected Senators may vote. Because the Senate is not a governing board, meetings of the Academic Senate of CSUSM are not subject to the Brown Act. The decision to allow press/public into a Senate meeting may be made by the Senate.

  EC Meetings are held Wednesdays, 11:30 am - 1:20 pm*, in KELLOGG 5207 (access via Starbucks elevator) and hybrid via Zoom, unless otherwise noted below or announced. Agendas are posted the Monday afternoon before that Wednesday's meeting. Zoom information can be found on the agenda or in the schedule above.

Academic Senate Annual Events

Executive Committee (EC) Retreat and Planning Session

The annual EC retreat consists of an in-depth look at Senate business and campus updates from the Administration team. Senate (Standing Committee) referrals are discussed in depth. 

All Faculty Spring Assembly

The All Faculty Assembly is an annual event, mandated by the CSUSM Faculty Constitution and Bylaws document. It is expected that they keynote address will be provided by the Harry E. Brakebill Distinguished Professor Awardee (announced in late Fall).
