The specific tasks of the CSUSM Climate Survey Steering Committee are as follows:
Advise on the survey administration, which includes vetting the recommended campus
climate survey instruments, managing the creation of additional questions and modifications
to the survey instruments, and brainstorming and assisting with survey promotion and
Identify other appropriate campus stakeholders, partners, and outreach participants
and ensure each are aware of their role in promotion, administration, and/or ongoing
use of the campus climate survey instrument.
Develop an outreach and communication plan while strategically disseminating information
to the campus wide community about CSUSM’s campus climate efforts.
Increase and sustain investment in survey results by playing a central role in the
instrument implementation plan and by utilizing the newly created campus climate assessment
Develop a year-long reporting plan for the campus. The committee will advise on the
way results will be reported out to identified stakeholders.
Advise on ongoing data collection efforts to follow-up on findings of the climate
