Student Success Grants - College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics

Student Success Grants support students in covering the costs of attending professional development events that build skills, expand knowledge, and foster networking opportunities. Eligible activities may include, but are not limited to, participation in conferences, seminars, workshops, research projects, practical application projects, or publications.  

Award amounts are granted as a reimbursement for actual travel expenses incurred. Please note: Expenses related to tuition, fees, or other costs associated with earning a CSUSM degree are not eligible for this program.  

Funds are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, while funds are available, and are intended to cover a portion, not all, of the allowable professional development expenses.  Students may only receive one award as an undergraduate student (in order to extend the funds to many students). Group projects as well as individual projects may be funded.

Grant funds are not available for the purchase of any hardware, software, or equipment, organization memberships, or events or activities that have already occurred.

REQUESTS FOR FUNDING MUST BE SUBMITTED TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE.
