Referendum Results

Vote For U. Banner

CSUSM students voted 64.6% to 35.4% to increase the Recreation Fee by $210 for a total of $245 per semester, with a 3% annual increase. This fee increase is intended to fully fund existing programs for Campus Recreation and support the development of a new Wellness & Recreation Facility. This unique referendum election took place Monday, October 21st through Wednesday, October 23rd, with a voter turnout of 1,807 students: 11.9% of the eligible student voters.

The “Vote For U.” educational campaign was led by student ambassadors from Campus Recreation, Athletics, and CSUSM Housing, among other student groups and organizations.
