Planet Mentorship Program
The Planet Mentorship Program is a paid opportunity for students with diverse backgrounds to become change makers! This mentorship consists of a cohort of CSUSM students that use the arts and data visualization to illuminate how climate change disproportionately impacts marginalized communities. Through this program, students will also have the chance to explore pathways for their futures and learn useful skillsets, such as communicating complex themes and ideas, project development through collaboration, and creative problem-solving.
Who is this for? For diverse CSUSM undergraduate and grad students who crave an immersive, high-impact experience.
What will you get out of it? Students will receive personal mentorship, explore pathways for their futures, and learn skillsets like: communication of complex themes and ideas, project development through collaboration, and creative problem-solving.
What will you do? Use the arts and data visualization to illuminate how climate change disproportionately impacts marginalized communities. Work with mentors and connect with other dynamic student scholars/artists!
What are the outcomes? The program will culminate in an exhibition of personal stories of climate and environmental data in CSUSM’s Data Stacks in Kellogg Library.
