GOAL
Achieve 30% sustainable food purchasing from primary food service by 2025.
PROGRESS
In 2023, 43% of the total budget for Campus Way Cafe and Catering was spent on plant-based foods.
Through the Left Over Food Program, our initiative to provide free food to students and reduce food waste has been more accessible than ever. Now, students can opt-in for leftover food notifications through the CSUSM mobile app. We encourage our campus community members to bring their reusable containers and utensils to help us achieve our Zero-Waste goal by 2025.
