Experience:
Use of MyCSUSM Advising tools: Academic Requirements Report, Degree Planner and Schedule
Assistant
Interacting with students and faculty
Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
Social media
Education:
Current CSUSM student with 12 – 75 units (preferred)
Employment on campus requires enrollment in 6 or more units for undergraduate students
and 4 or more units for graduate students during Fall/Spring semester
2.70 GPA or higher
All majors encouraged to apply
Other Requirements:
A minimum ofone year commitmentincluding summer (through graduation preferred)
Shift Policies: -To ensure office coverage studentsmust provide 15-20 hours of weeklyavailability at a minimum every semester. Coverage needed is Monday-Friday between
8-5 pm. Generally morning and/or closing shifts. -10-hour weekly minimum shift rule; must be no shorter than 4-hour blocks
Attend Mandatory Trainings: -Spring 23: Wednesdays from 1-2 pm -May 10, 2023 from 12:30-1:30 pm -Summer TBD -Future Trainings as needed
Support New Students in the Summer and Winter: -Enroll the Cougar Way Workshops: June 12, 13, 21, 22
