myCSUSMPast Survey Results
At Cal State San Marcos, we are deeply committed to fostering an environment where everyone β students, faculty and staff alike β feels valued, respected and supported. Now, more than ever, a welcoming and inclusive campus climate is essential to who we are as a university and aligns with our strategic plan goal of sustaining a culture of care grounded in mutual respect, meaningful dialogue and thoughtful interactions.
In Spring 2025, California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) embarked on a campus-wide climate assessment effort involving administration of campus climate surveys to staff, faculty, and administrators in partnership with Rankin Climate, LLC.
A definition of campus climate with an emphasis on inclusion and diversity was adopted and used to help guide the assessment efforts: βThe current attitudes, behaviors and standards of faculty, staff, administrators and students concerning the level of respect for individual needs, abilities and potential.β (Susan Rankin, 2008).

CSUSM is thankful and appreciative of all students, staff, faculty, and administrators who participated in this survey administration for giving their time and sharing their feedback, opinions, and experiences around campus climate. The survey results will allow CSUSM to establish campus climate benchmarks and provide data to guide future campus efforts.
