Civic Action Plan
On March 1, 2016, President Karen S. Haynes signed the Campus Compact 30th Anniversary Action Statement of Presidents and Chancellors. Signing the statement signifies CSUSM's recommitment to the values of civic engagement and action in service to the public good. Additionally, signing the statement committed the campus to write and publish a Campus Civic Action Plan. The CSUSM Civic Action Plan describes the process by which the plan was drafted and outlines the university's civic engagement goals. Our most current plan covering Academic Year 2024-2025 is linked below.
Review the CSUSM Civic Action Plan which CSUSM received an "exceptional" score of 214 of 234 possible points in the California Secretary of State's Student Vote Project. CSUSM was one of the 2024 ALL IN's "Most Engaged Campuses."
*Note: Any resources required for the implementation of the Civic Action Plan will only be allocated as a result of the usual University Budget Committee (UBC) process.
