Dr. Rehan's Schedule:
Monday - Thursday
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Psychiatry services are available to all regularly matriculated students at Cal State
San Marcos. Our mission in providing this service to our students is to ensure that
students receive initial evaluations or follow up care for the management of their
mental health; and also, serving as a referral source for Counseling and Disabled
Student Services.
Our psychiatrist is Dr. Ghazala Rehan. She did her internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical
Center in Los Angeles, followed by residency in Psychiatry at University of California,
San Diego.
In San Diego, she has worked at UCSD hospital, St. Vincent de Paul Community Village,
and Douglas Young Clinic. She is board certified in Psychiatry and is an adjunct faculty
at UCSD and VA Medical Center in La Jolla.
Appointments
Appointments with Dr. Rehan are by referral only. This can be achieved in one of two ways.
1. If you have previously received a diagnosis and/or treatment from a psychiatrist or other healthcare professional, please come by Student Health and Counseling Services to complete an Authorization to Release Protected Health Information form so that we can request records from your previous provider.
2. If you have NOT previously received a diagnosis and/or treatment from a psychiatrist or other healthcare professional, you may call to schedule a Phone Consultation Visit with one of our counselors to discuss a referral to Dr. Rehan.
Someone from our office will contact you once Dr. Rehan reviews your records or referral.

- Initial Intake visits: $15
- Follow Up visits: $8
- No Show or Late Cancellations (less than 24 hours notice): $20
*Student mandatory campus fees do not cover the visit fees for psychiatry appointments. As a result, this service is available for students at a low cost.
