Telecommuting Policy and Agreement Information

The CSUSM Corporation supports the use of a telework option and alternate work schedules in position where appropriate. The opportunity to participate in a telework program is offered only with the understanding that it is the responsibility of the employee to ensure a safe and proper work environment is maintained.

Teleworking opportunities are based upon program requirements as determined by the appropriate Director or Manager. Specific conditions and agreed-upon work arrangements are to be outlined in a Telecommuting/Remote Work Agreement, which is prepared jointly by an employee and their supervisor and subject to the Corporation Executive Director and Corporation Director of Human Resources approval.

Please complete the Telecommuting Agreement if you will be working one or more days remotely on a regularly scheduled basis.

Who Needs to Complete this form?

All CSUSM Corporation employees (full-time, part-time, including faculty and CSUSM staff working additional employment through CSUSM Corporation, as well as student employees,) should complete and sign an agreement if they are telecommuting.

What do I need to complete this form? 

Before completing the form, you should have verbal authorization from your CSUSM Corporation supervisor to work remotely.
