Media & Communications Specilaist |
The ASI Media and Communications Team (MCT) is looking for talented graphic designers, videographers, photographers and social media content creators with a desire to contribute to the advancement of our marketing/outreach efforts. The MCT is responsible for the design and development of marketing materials for all ASI events/services and for documenting the ASI story across various media channels. The MCT is also responsible for all media, branding, and marketing efforts of Associated Students, Inc. of CSUSM. Cougar Pantry Specialist |
The Cougar Pantry is a service provided by the ASI BOD to help serve students of CSUSM who face food insecurity on campus. The goal of the ASI Cougar Pantry is to ensure equitable access to nutritious food resources. CalFresh Specialist |
The Cougar Pantry CalFresh Specialist will be responsible for working with CSUSM students to increase participation in the CalFresh program (formally known as food stamps and federally known as Supplement Nutrition Assistance Program- SNAP). CalFresh benefits serve the community by reducing hunger and poverty while also increasing economic activity locally. This position will work to promote and assist with outreach. Campus Activities Board Specialist |
As a function of the Associated Students, Inc. at Cal State San Marcos, the Campus Activities Board provides the campus with a wide variety of activities and programs geared toward increasing the quality of life on campus. The division is comprised of several student members that work individually and collaboratively toward creating programs and services that appeal to all students enrolled at CSUSM. The Programming Specialist position will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and supporting educational and social programs and activities at Cal State San Marcos, as well as collaborating with other Campus Activities Board Specialists in creating a semester calendar worth of events as well as continuing innovative campus-wide traditions. This person will serve as a spokesperson for one of the many focus areas of the Campus Activities Board: Novelty and Variety, Community Service and Social Engagement, Pride and Traditions, and Temecula Campus Events and Programs, which all fall in line with the CSUSM Co-Curricular model. Graduate Assistant for Student Engagement |
As a function of ASI, the Campus Activities Board (CAB) provides the campus with a
wide variety of activities and programs geared toward increasing the quality of life
on campus. The entity is comprised of six student members that work collaboratively
toward creating programs and services that appeal to all students enrolled at CSUSM.
The ASI Volunteer Program is comprised of five teams: Highlighting Your Programs and
Events (HYPE), Creating Art For Events (CAFE), Volunteer Event Support Team (VEST),
Lobby Corps, and ASI Cougar Pantry Volunteers and Interns. These volunteers provide
support for marketing and outreach, programs, and initiatives to uphold the ASI mission.
The Graduate Assistant for Student Engagement will work as a generalist to support
both CAB (70%) and the ASI Volunteer Program (30%). This person will be responsible
for creating, implementing, and assessing programming initiatives and fostering an
inclusive environment in ASI. This person will primarily be assisting with logistics,

Representation Opportunities
These are representative positions within the ASI Board of Directors. Those in representative positions are compensated volunteers who receive a $500 semester scholarship, priority registration, and a parking permit.
