ASI Teams

To encourage participation and healthy competition, our ASI teams provide an opportunity for students to build connections with students outside of their specific entities, earn points for attendance and team bonding, and win prizes! Each year our ASI Retreat workgroup picks a theme for our ASI Retreats. This theme is carried over into our ASI Teams.

How It Works

Each cabin has a pair of returning ASI students assigned to it. These individuals guide and serve as peer mentors to their teams. These students also help our Student Engagement Coordinator track cabin points and promote amazing ASI and CSUSM spirit! These leaders also assist with the planning and implementation of special events that occur during the academic year. We love camaraderie!

To encourage bonding and connection during our fully virtual academic year, ASI holds bi-weekly connects over zoom. These gatherings include all members of ASI and can be a space for our students to connect with one another as they normally would in our offices - helping us all remember what we love about CSUSM - each other.
