Winter Intersession 2027

Extended Learning offers you a number of credit courses in a wide range of fields and disciplines during the Intersession term. These courses are open to students from other colleges and universities, qualified high school seniors and community members. Courses are transferable to other academic institutions, and up to 24 units taken as a non-matriculated student may be counted toward a CSUSM degree. 

Intersession 2027 Dates:

  • Oct. 12, 2026 - Enrollment begins for CSUSM students 
    • CSUSM students can view their enrollment date/time on MyCSUSM
  • Oct. 19, 2026 - Enrollment begins for non-matriculated students
  • Dec. 9, 2026 - Winter Intersession 2027 payment is due
  • Dec. 10, 2026 - Decision to cancel classes
  • Dec. 22, 2026 - Last day to enroll in a Winter Intersession 2027 class
  • Dec. 26, 2026 - First day of Winter Intersession 2027 courses
  • Dec. 27, 2026 - Last day to drop a Winter Intersession 2027 class. Students dropping after December 27, 2026 will receive a "W"
  • Jan, 2, 2027 - May begin meeting on campus (in-person)
  • Jan. 16, 2027 - Last day of all Winter Intersession 2027 courses
  • Jan. 20, 2027 - Grades viewable in MyCSUSM
  • May 28, 2027 (Tentative)  - Official grades available
  • *NOTE: Students may enroll in up to a maximum of four units per the Maximum Number of Units During Winter Intersession Policy. Students are held to the maximum four-unit enrollment limit during Winter Intersession. Approvals for an increased unit limit are rarely granted.
