Extended Learning offers you a number of credit courses in a wide range of fields and disciplines during the Intersession term. These courses are open to students from other colleges and universities, qualified high school seniors, and community members. Courses are fully transferrable to other academic institutions, and up to 24 units taken as a non-matriculated student may be counted toward a CSUSM degree.
The CSU requires the COVID vaccine and booster for all students, both matriculated and non-matriculated, to participate in Winter courses. Winter offerings will continue to include online and hybrid class options, however, the “fully remote attestation” option is no longer available. Those who are admitted into an Extended Learning fully online program, such as the Accelerated Bachelor of Arts in Sociology or the Master of Arts in Reading, Language and Literacy, are exempt from certifying their status.
