Tuition for Aspiring Scholars Program

Students will enroll through CSUSM's Open University.

  • Tuition fees are $350 per unit
  • Program consists of a minimum of 10 units per semester
  • Additional fees include:
    • Mandatory University Fees
    • Program Fees $1500 per semester
  • Students will also need to purchase books/materials 
  • Some costs may be covered for Regional Center and Department of Rehabilitation clients

Books 

 Prices of textbooks and course materials vary.  

Textbooks, and other school supplies, can be rented or purchased from the campus bookstore.

Housing 

CSUSM Aspiring Scholars do not need to live on campus to meet eligibility requirements nor is residential living provided as part of this program. However, students who wish to live independently may apply for CSUSM Housing (on-campus living) or public community living opportunities in the surrounding area. There are public, community apartments within walking distance. As mentioned, the CSUSM Aspiring Scholars Program does not offer independent living supervision.
