
Overview
CSUSM’s 12-week intensive certification prep program prepares you to sit for the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) exams which are the globally-recognized standard in HR certification. This program is offered in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Program Details
- AUDIENCE
This certification prep course is designed primarily for:
- Individuals seeking SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
- Those in HR seeking advancement or more information about employee relations, benefits, compensation, training or development
- People who have completed previous HR study like CSUSM’s HR Management certificate program
There are no admission requirements to take this program; it is open to all those currently working in HR and those looking to enter the field. However, to be eligible to sit for one the SHRM exams, you must meet the criteria below. For more details, view the SHRM eligibility criteria page.

Course Details
- Classes held from 6-9 p.m. Monday evenings
- Classes will be held online utilizing Zoom and an online resource center
- 2022 SHRM Learning System Online platform will be used for online resources
- Registration must be received by Aug. 12, 2022, to ensure you receive the SHRM 2022
Learning System prior to course start. Enrollments after this date may have delayed
delivery of materials.

City of OceansideJenn Acfalle has over 22 years of general human resources experience in both the private and public sectors collaborating with stakeholders to develop HR strategies that align with organizational objectives and add value. Jenn has a doctorate's degree in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.), with an emphasis in post-secondary education and a masters in business administration degree (MBA), with an emphasis in human resources management. Jenn is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

What are the course materials?
The SHRM Learning System for SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP includes four modules covering the comprehensive SHRM BoCK so you’ll learn everything you need for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam. This learning system is included in your program fee and provides the following:

Can I earn PDCs with this program?
Yes, this program is eligible for up to 36 PDCs.
Do you offer SHRM recertification PDCs?

Can I use my employer’s tuition reimbursement for this program?
Yes, this program will accept employer’s tuition reimbursement funds.
